Health care reform – are you aware?

As discussions around health care reform build across the sector, WentWest is pleased to be partnering with Tonic Health Media and Avant for a unique forum. Directed towards GP contractors, employees and registrars, the Primary Health Network and its partners will explore the evolving general practice landscape in Australia, working towards a vision for how it may look into the future.

With host and renowned health personality Dr Norman Swan facilitating discussions, the evening will also discuss the impact of current health care reform and the influence of the Health Care Home model on GPs working within local practices.

The forum comes as the federal government recently announced 22 western Sydney general practices which will form part of the national Health Care Home stage one rollout. The selected practices are part of 200 nationally which will commence the phased implementation from late 2017, with the intention for broader implementation on the horizon.

2017 GP Needs Survey: Now Live

After Hours Funding: Alternative Care for Musculoskeletal Conditions & Injuries

WentWest is seeking applications from relevant services for the provision of multidisciplinary team care for Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, pain and minor injuries that would otherwise require presentation to an Emergency Department (ED). National Palliative Care Week

To raise awareness for National Palliative Care Week (21-28th May), the Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (PEPA) will be holding a session around palliation of people with dementia. Click here for more information.
