Health Care Reform: Implications for Employee & Contractor GPs

Following the success of last year’s Patient Centred Medical Home Showcase, WentWest, the Western Sydney Primary Health Network is pleased be hosting Health Care Reform: Implications for Registrars, Employee & Contractor GPs.

Taking place on Wednesday, 21st June the forum will bring together a range of sector experts to discuss the evolving general practice landscape and its impact on registrars, employee and contractor GPs working in western Sydney.

Hosted by renowned health personality, Dr Norman Swan and in partnership with Tonic Health and AVANT, the forum will explore emerging models of general practice and practice transformation. The increasing role of technology and the impact of health care reform on employee and contractor GPs.

This exclusive evening event will also offer local GPs an opportunity to connect with the WentWest team and learn more about the programs and initiatives that can support improved patient care.

Dedicated Coaching: Stanford Chronic Disease Management

With practices requiring additional support to deliver effective, evidence-based self-management for patients with chronic disease. The Western Sydney Local Health District and the Western Sydney Primary Health Network have launched the Stanford program. The program, developed in the USA is a peer coaching model that aims to deliver marked results to patients. It offers structured training for volunteers to become mentors to others managing similar conditions, and assists with medication adherence, healthy living and navigating the health network. 2017 GP Needs Survey: Now Live

Amplify your voice: WentWest's Annual 2017 GP Needs Survey is now live and available for all western Sydney GPs to complete. The feedback will help WentWest to continue its vision of building healthier communities, empowering individuals, sustainable health care workforce and systems.
